The Rashid S. Conteh Memorial Foundation
The Rashid S. Conteh Memorial Foundation was founded by Rashid Conteh’s family to support healthcare initiatives in Sierra Leone, West Africa. In December 2022, the nonprofit's Directors met with local government officials and visited clinics in the Lungi area to evaluate healthcare delivery needs. Additional details about these site visits are available on the Blog page.
Following the needs assessment, the Directors determined they should collaborate with existing healthcare facilities to maximize impact. One of the nonprofit's first projects was the renovation of the maternity wing at the Evans Medical Center. A major legacy project—the construction of a surgery center at the Evans Medical Center—is set to begin in 2025. Donations to support healthcare initiatives through the nonprofit can be made via PayPal using the Donate button at the top of this page or by major credit card or Apple Pay on the Donate page.
